Redding's collet style trimmer is unique in that the case turns while the cutter remains stationary (like a lathe works). The trimmer is built around a cast iron frame and is long enough to handle all of the new long action cartridges. The TiN coated cutter produces clean and accurate cuts. The universal collet fits all popular rifle and pistol cases, eliminating the need to buy other sizes. The trimmer comes with 6 pilots; .22 cal, 6mm, .25 caliber, .277 caliber, 7mm, and .30 caliber It also comes with two neck cleaning brushes (.22 thru .30 caliber) and large and small primer pocket cleaners. Pilots for additional calibers are available.

Not Worthy of the Redding name(22/02/2011)
This trimmer came with the Redding Reloading Big Boss Deluxe Kit. Reading about how it works, it seems like a good idea.
This has been my experience; because the fine adjustment lock ring is also on the crank handle, and because the tenon on the crank shaft lines up with a slot in the trimmer body to tighten/loosen the universal collet, the available travel space is short -- this is important, as it makes the process of setting up the trim length a major pain in the arm. Saying that it is slow with this unit is an understatement.
I also have to report that the cutter was actually dull, out of the box -- requiring a substantial amount of force on the crank handle to actually move brass. Not only is this another pain in the arm, but it negates accuracy and consistency in trim length. I seldom managed to get two cases one after another trimmed to the same length.
Finally, the quality of the cut was horrible -- jagged chatter marks, resultant of a dull cutter and the force required to move brass.
There are quality trimmers available; unfortunately, this is not one of them. My experience with Redding's other tools has been great, but they need to get out of the trimmer business, in my opinion.
On the bright side, it is ruggedly built, and should last a lifetime; because I'll never use it.
Good after significant modification(13/04/2015)
Original trimmer did not work at all - the cutter was not sharp at all - it was deforming the case but not cutting the edge.
I was lucky as I have good friend toolmaker. He made for me completely new cutter from old titanium nitride drill bit.
I don't typically like to submit negative reviews, but hope I can prevent someone from spending too much money on a mediocre product. That said, I have used Redding products, including this trimmer, for many years and have generally been very satisfied. Although it is well made and would be adequate for low-volume reloading, this trimmer is not a best in class product and is not suitable for precision reloading. Specifically: setting trim length is a trial and error process, requiring the user to trim and measure until the desired case length is attained; the cutter shaft is then held by the friction of a set screw so that maintaining a consistent trim length when the case is pushed against the cutter is nearly impossible. In use, I have found it slow in operation - requiring many turns of a small crank to trim each case. I often have to trim a bit, remove and deburr the case, then trim some more in order to get a correctly trimmed case. The knurled knob for the crank, while a nice touch can become uncomfortable when trimming 50 or 100 cases. All in all, case prep is more of a chore with this trimmer than it has to be. I now need to replace a dull cutter and will replace the trimmer instead.
