Double Star's Picatinny Rail Adjustable Gas block is in house from 6065 T6 aluminum and finished with a black hard coat anodize. The stainless steel adjustment screw is held in place with a brass tipped stainless steel set screw. The brass tip prevents damage to the threads on the adjustment screw.

some fitment may be required (not much) 22/07/2018
got this block to control / reduce the BCG movement and it most closely resembled the gas block that was removed from a Remington R25 . easily slipped on to the barrel . however installing the rollpin to hold the gas tube was a different mater , as the hole did not perfectly lineup with the hole in the gas tube . was it the tube ,was it the block? I dont know . what I know is a even smaller pin punch would not go trough to the other side of the block.
I am also concerned that I may have to modify to reduce even more gas flow ,perhaps a larger screw to block off more gas flow.
I would recommend to a friend if they were as clever as my self.

I put this gas block on a palmetto 308 18inch midlenght upper. With the adjustment screw all the way in(the gas block should be closed and the rifle shouldnt cycle) the gun still cycled like it was seeing full gas volume. Dissassembly and inspection revealed the adjustment screw was actually smaller than the port in the block. So even with the screw all the way in, the gas simply bypasses the screw. I redrilled and tapped the adjustment screw hole and installed a larger (8-32) adjusting screw. Now it works like i want it to.

Is NOT reciever height for co-witness 10/08/2015
Got this for a build with the intention of using Troy sights on it (the gas block gets VERY hot so do not use plastic sights on it!) it is appx. 1/4" lower than the receiver so at 25yrds you are shooting about 3' high. the problem is I can not find a 1/4" riser to correct this issue (only 1/2") so I am going with plan "B" and getting a YHM front sight/gas block combo but now I will have a Troy front sight with no rear to go with it.
