real timesaver(10/10/2009)
This bit is a real time saving tool. Far superior to anything that i can grind in my own shop. And does a really solid job, double sided so you get many well cut crowns from one well ground bit.
Not as shown(17/09/2012)
Mine was only ground on one side. One of the selling points was two sided grind. Would have never ordered if I had known that but since I have it I will use it.
Not Ready to Use(21/04/2017)
When I spend this much on a bit I expect it to come ready to use out of the box. As it comes you need to grind away part of the tool as it scraps the side of the barrel before the cutting part does. Maybe if your doing .50 this would work without modification but for smaller calibers it does not.
Might as well save money and buy a blank lathe bit and grind your own.
