The MOE-K2 is a drop in upgrade for AR15/M4 pistol grips with a more vertical grip angle optimized for short LOP weapons, such as PDW (Personal Defense Weapons) configurations. It has an aggressive texture for positive weapon control and is compatible with Magpul Grip Cores for storage customization. This grip will function properly with 7.62 NATO AR10/SR25 style of rifles but, depending on the make of the rifle, may or may not leave a gap between the 'beaver tail' and the receiver. This gap is purely aesthetic and will not affect function.

Best SBR grip (12/03/2017)

Best AR grip, have replaced it on all my SBR and AR.

Used on a Bushmaster AR with a LWRC Ultra Compact collapsible buttstock system for CQB work.

Greatly improves ergonomics with the short stock which reduces wrist pain while holding the rifle on target for extended periods of time.

Great for those who like to keep the butt stock collapsed all the way.

I did not like this grip (01/10/2014)

I thought this grip would be different then the regular AR grips out there. It ended up being big, bulky, and did not feel comfortable in my hand. Due to the angle of the grip, the rifle was heavier when doing a magazine change or using my support hand to manipulate the rifle. I never had this issue when using the regular AR grip angle. I can see were you might need s grip like this on an AR. This grip might be good if you have large of extra-large hands.

Good Grip for Intended Role (11/10/2014)

This grip appears to be designed to be used primarily in SBR AR15's and a shorter LOP. It has a more vertical grip angle than other grips. To compensate for the change in angle a larger beavertail has been added as well as a grip swell to help keep the trigger finger in proper alignment with the trigger.

This feels incredibly awkward if you approach this from a traditional grip angle grip. However, if you approach this from a short LOP front-facing weapon stance/grip, this grip is actually very accommodating.

I find this grip extremely useful on two MK18 clone AR15s I use. I shoot them with the stock almost completely closed because primarily they are deployed from a vehicle.

Grips are personal things and should be chosen so. They are also not one size fits all. They serve a purpose and should be approached that way. This grip works very well on shorter LOP rifles and an aggressive forward facing shooting stance.

It's a good choice for the role it is meant to serve.

Better than the BCM for bigger hands (16/05/2017)

I have the BCM but felt I needed more meat on the grip, the K2 is perfect and blows the BCM away in every aspect. The BCM has a too shallow spring hole that tensions the safety too much, the K2's however is perfect and allows for easier safety actuation! Best PDW style grip out there! Is perfectly matched to the MOE SL-K on my 14.5 pinned AR.

I'm using this on a fixed very short length of pull rig.

The grip angle is great for that short length of pull.

I also own the K grip, I have that on another gun, I prefer the feel of the K2. Both have great texture for gloves or bare naked hands.

The mag release button would be hard to press for my finger if my button was not over sized. (Not at all an issue with the K).

My hands are just over 8" long.

Favorite short length of pull grip.

Excellent Ergonomics for AR Pistols (14/07/2017)

Bought for a 10.5" AR pistol with KAK Shockwave Blade brace.

This K2 replaced an A2 style grip that was universally (even by a newbie who'd never touched an AR before) disliked by everyone who tried the pistol. Makes a significant difference on a pistol with a brace or on and SBR with shorter LOP.

Ordering more for all my AR pistols.

BTW, perfect fit on an Anderson receiver.

Someone with an average hand (8.5") (03/08/2018)

I have this on a carbine and I have been using it with Magpul's fixed length stock (100-011-569WB) and Extended buttpad (100-010-588WB). I have tried many grips including the Magpul K Grip, I have a lot of experience with the standard A2 grip also and the K2 Grip angle really does make a short length of pull gun more comfortable on the wrist, that slight angle change does change your leverage on the gun though and the muzzle is more prone to drooping than a traditionally angled grip if your not wrapping all your fingers around it in a positive way. I find that the K2 is easier to hold durring mag changes or any other single hand holding due to the extra grip meat, the K Grip is a little more squirrely and it's mostly noticeable while checking the mag seat after a mag change (the old push pull) . The mag release button needs to be an oversize kind for me to manipulate without moving my hand around this grip, but it gives me a perfect trigger finger position. I usually shoot with gloves and this grip has an excellent surface for gripping, never felt like it was going to slide out of my hand.
