the best patch holdr(10/02/2011)
This product is the best I have found to clean a shotgun. It expandes to fit the barrel. The downside is the patches sometimes come off the tool after a pass through the barrel (need to use quality patches). The center dart would be better if made of metal to increase tool life.
Doesn't fit threads on BoreTech rod(22/01/2010)
Works well with 35 caliber Dewey rifle rod, as long as you have an adaptor (which comes with that rod). But I ordered a BoreTech shotgun rod directly from BoreTech and this BoreTech jag does not fit the BoreTech rod. That rod did not come with an adaptor either. Plastic spear point is soft, also.
holds patch tight to barrel(30/01/2010)
I have used this on my 12 ga a couple of times and it solves the problem of the patch being too tight or too loose on the jag as it is run down the barrel. They are a little spendy, but it works. I did have to use an adapter to my cleaning rod. But I have run into that many times before.
Came off rod when reversed(17/08/2010)
Puts nice even pressure on the patch, but pulled out of the adapter when I tried to pull the rod back. The plastic threads are poorly sized or weak.
Not bad but threads strip easily(24/09/2011)
Does an excellent job cleaning. Plastic threads don't last long.
