A light grease that stays where it’s put and won’t migrate to other parts. The areas of your gun that need lubrication stay lubricated. One drop on each slide rail reduces friction and wear; helps your pistol work easier and stay clean longer. Will not attract and hold contaminants. Recommended for full- and semi-auto rifles and carbines. Excellent for AR-style rifles in temperatures above 50°F.
SPECS: 2 oz. (59ml) bottle.

works decent on a 1911(22/09/2012)
Since this stuff is so thick, I use only a drop at the front of either frame rail, and a few more drops of anything else behind it. That keeps the slide buttery between range sessions. I do the same on the barrel. I know Wilson says this stuff should be used on ARs, but it will work on handguns if used in moderation. So far haven't had a malfunction due to the lube.
Great for the heat of the South(13/08/2015)
I bought this because I needed a lubricant that would stay put when firing in the summer heat of the South. I bought this primarily for my semi-auto handguns. So far I've used this grease on my VP9, a couple of 1911s, and my Sig P228. It doesn't take a lot, and it stays where it should to properly lubricate the moving parts of a semi-auto pistol. My only complaint is with the bottle. If you lay the bottle on its side it will leak from around the threads where the top is screwed on. I can't carry this lube in my cleaning kit because it requires bottles to be on their side. Other than that, I have no complaints with the lubricant. This is now my standard lubricant for all my handguns.
Grease, Wilson Combat, Temperature Range(27/12/2015)
FYI,
The label lists the optimum temperature range as, "150 degrees to 45 degrees", which didn't specify negative or positive; Celsius or Fahrenheit. For some reason, I am used to seeing the lower temperature listed first, then the higher (hotter) temperature listed second.
I can tell you from personal experience this grease was too thick at 32 degrees F to allow my SIG P225's slide to fully cycle. Adding some oil to the rails while at the outdoor range immediately cured that problem.
Otherwise, grease should be a bit thick (or it wouldn't be grease), just mind the temperature range for the environment you'll be in.
Good Stuff for the South!(06/09/2017)
I really like to use grease where I'm located. I've tried oil, but in the heat of the South, I've found most oils (even reportedly "quality" oil lubricants) just don't last long. They either run or disappear (burn off is my assumption). I like grease for this reason but it can get gummy in some instances and doesn't work well when we get the occasional "cold spell". That said, I purchased a bottle of this to round out an order and have really liked it. Consistency is similar to maple syrup when it goes on so it's almost a cross between oil and grease. So far in the heat it's done GREAT. It does get thinner, but seems to stay put and continue lubricating. I've used it on AR's and pistols of various sorts. All have run very well with it. Come winter and those very occasional "cold spells", we'll see if it gums up like traditional grease or does ok. If you live in the South, I'd suggest trying it for the price. I probably wouldn't order just this product and pay for shipping, but adding it to an order wouldn't be too bad. As for colder climates, your mileage may vary.
