Nice!(12/07/2016)
Completed my trigger job for a nice clean smooth crisp pull.
Wolff springs rock(29/08/2010)
The quality of Wolff springs is top notch. I have changed all of my factory springs in my 1911 to the Wollf brand. I have been using them for many years and they have never failed me. They work so good that's all I use now.
Think before you leap(10/02/2012)
First, there's nothing wrong with the product; it is as advertised. I would reccommend this to others...as long as they needed a 23lb spring. It is of excellent quality. That's why it got 5 stars. What wasn't of excellent quality was my thought process in purchasing. I had purchased a C&S sear, a Clark sear spring and a Greider trigger earlier so I thought I would purchase a hammer spring without knowing exactly what the weight of the current spring was. Let's just say that 23lbs is way too much for my comfort. It was a stock Springfield 1911A1 spring and I'm guessing (again) that it was about 18lbs or so. I have since swapped the spring back out. Nothing wrong with the new; just my mistake. Installed as advertised, no problems.
Great Product!(14/03/2011)
I replaced my standard (supposedly 23 lbs.) hammer spring with this Wolff spring rated at 20 lbs. The Wolff spring is actually longer than the factory spring, but the feel is so much smoother! From what I can tell, the hammer strike is just as strong, and the primer dents look identical to those of the factory spring. The trigger pull is a perfect 4 lbs. now, and the function (most important) is consistent, positive and flawless. This inexpensive spring makes it feel like an expensive trigger job, without any filing, fitting, or compromise in safety or reliability. And I can always trust the quality of Wolff springs!
Great for light trigger pull(18/06/2015)
Thiis 20lb hammer spring is great for lighter trigger pulls, perfect for competitive shooting or target practice.
If you go to a pistol competition your trigger pull will be tested & must be 5lbs so this will put your trigger pull lighter so great for those looking to lower trigger pull.
This spring is too long and does not work. The spring housing can be slid up the back of the frame almost into position and the hammer can be cocked and release, but when it is moved up just enough to put the housing pin in place the spring is stacked and will not allow the hammer to be cocked. Gun is a Springfield Armory TPR.
Excellent hammer spring!(20/07/2016)
I use this spring in my Kimber TLE II 9mm and Springfield Operator .45. Makes for a much lighter trigger pull, zero problems with light primer strikes to include any factory ammo (CCI, Winchester, Federal). Wish I would've went lighter sooner.
(I use this spring with an aftermarket mainspring housing in my Springfield. I believe the Springfield's ILS system mainspring housing requires a proprietory spring) This is what likely caused a problem for another reviewer.
